Bubble Baths-Not For Women Only

Sometimes a good soak in the old bathtub is just what the doctor ordered to make you feel refreshed and relaxed. I'm sure we all know the benefits of soaking in a tub of nice hot water: you can obtain relief from tired, aching bones and muscle cramps; you can de-stress at the end of a hectic day; and, of course, if you add a little soap to a sponge or washcloth, you can get clean!

So as I'm pondering on this while I'm drawing my bath, I got to thinkinglet's take things up a notch and add some bubble bath. Bubbles are light, frothy, make you feel good, and can smell wonderful, too. (Remember playing with bubbles as a kid and trying to blow the biggest bubble or seeing how long the bubble will last before it bursts? Those were fun times and left you with good memories.) Too bad men can't or don't enjoy taking a bubble bath.

Wait a minute, maybe men do enjoy bubble baths but just don't freely admit to it. I decided to do some research on the internet and what I found is that men do take bubble baths and most women think it's pretty cool. Most of the women stated they think that men should be able to savor the luxurious sensation and enjoy all the benefits of the bubble bath; they also think that it will make men smell good and feel soft and get clean. But they do recommend not using pink bubble bath or ones that smell too sweet or fruity; they would prefer their man to smell like a man! Women also feel that it can be romantic, with candles, soft music in the background, and their man soaking in the tub with them.

Surprisingly, some men put in their thoughts on bubble baths. Most who did thought that those men who took bubble baths were, in their words, "gay". But a few of the men said they found them relaxing and their significant other liked to get in with them.

So women, encourage your men to relax and unwind in the tub. Give them manly scents, like Eucalyptus, Leather, and New Car. Of course, if you want to join them, you might go for Love, French Kiss, Wedding Day or Satin Sheets.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, both men and women have the perfect opportunity to introduce their mates to the joys and relaxation of the bubble bath. Set the mood with soft lighting (votive candles are good for this and also can perfume the air with the same scent as your bubble bath) and some romantic music. If your mate adamantly refuses to soak in bubbles, consider using some massage oils after the shower or non-bubbly bath. I'm sure there can be no objection to a really nice massage! And not to worry; these also come in scents for men that aren't too girly.

So, are bubble baths just for women only? Absolutely not! Both sexes can and should experience the benefits of the soothing bubble bath. Who knows you might start a new "tradition" in your life!
